I wanted to draw your attention to three retreats I am teaching in, before the end of this year, all in Provence, all at the Maison de Sens, a beautiful provençal farm house near Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. The first one, Jeûne & Quête de Sens is coming up September 12-16. Then, it will be Coaching & Naturopathie October 12-16, with a focus on stress, sleep and immunity. Lastly, December 10-13 is a short and sweet Yoga & Jeune Detox.
Taking "a deep breath" is not enough.
“Just take a deep breath…” (or three). Maybe you’ve received this advice from a well-meaning friend, teacher, or therapist, when you felt anxious. Mindful breathing is a powerful tool to regulate the nervous system and calm the mind. But in my experience it is not the most efficient approach to address acute anxiety. To understand why, let’s look at the energetic presentation of anxiety.

Shake Your Soul is back! July 10, 17 & 24 on the Upper West Side
I know, I know...it's been a while!
Hi!
The main reason you have not heard from me for the past few months is because I'm pursuing a bachelor in psychology, and I'm enrolled in a 4-year somatic psychotherapy training. Yes, two major undertakings. And I'm still coaching, massaging, reiki-ing, yoga-ing. It's a lot, but it's keeping me on my toes. Most of all it feels right. The therapy training truly is the most organic next step in my journey as a holistic health practitioner. It had been calling me for a while, I just wasn't listening. I'll be writing more about this approach to psychotherapy in the near future.
To stay abreast of current happenings and offerings, be sure to connect with me on FB and IG.
And now for the latest news...
My Shake Your Soul class is back! For three Wednesdays only, so far: July 10, 17, 24. And on the Upper West Side! Find all details and register online here.
I hope to see you soon in class xo

Perfect Love, Imperfect Relationships...Happy V-Day!
LOVE : one of the most used and misused words out there.
But love without self-love ain’t love.
It’s called attachment, leads to codependency, love addiction and general unhappiness. Often when people fall in “love” (the falling is real, not the love) it’s because of how they feel in the presence of another: appreciated, soothed, special, beautiful, admired, seen. And we think that’s love. No, that’s using someone else to make yourself feel good. We all do it unconsciously of course, until the other, a perfectly imperfect human being, can no longer provide for all our (emotional) needs. And we get mad. Or…

Your Remedy to Feeling Dull? Shake Your Soul®! (1/26)
It's January 2018! And I don't know you but I am overdue for a good sweat! It's all too easy during those cold winter months (at least here in New York) to stagnate, accumulate and feel dull all around, mind, skin and all.
The remedy? Shake Your Soul®!
3 Steps to Stay Sane During Crazy Times (+ Register for Shake Your Soul® on 10/19!)
“This is crazy.”
Perhaps like me you find yourself saying those words daily. Upon reading the latest shenanigans from DT, or that any civilian in the U.S could buy 33 guns in twelve months, or again that an iceberg twice the size of Luxembourg broke loose from Antarctica. Our capacity to keep it together is being challenged each and every day. I’ve been saying “this is crazy” so much for months that truth be told “crazy” is starting to sound a little un-crazy, a little too “same old, same old”. Alongside the words appalling, absurd or scary. So much in our world is figuratively and literally beyond words. But the fact that “crazy” has lost its mojo doesn’t mean that we could not really be going crazy if we don’t take precautionary measures.
The Time Has Come to Shake Your Soul®! (A New Offering...)
I just came back from a Shake Your Soul® teacher training at Kripalu, in Lenox, MA. and what can I say.... #bestweekever ! Was it the beautiful souls I danced with? The joy of moving our bodies freely and fluidly? The outstanding music we danced to? The most inspiring teachers? The safe and loving space that allowed for authentic connections to happen effortlessly? The fact we conversed more with our feeling-fueled bodies than ego-fueled words? Yes, yes and yes!
When Relaxing Does More Harm Than Good (+ A Recording to Help You Chill)
Conscious deep relaxation is a priceless skill, a life skill even! It is not sleeping and it is not your usual end-of-a-yoga-class-relaxation. Rather it is a focused, systematic withdrawal of consciousness from the outside world to the deepest part of your being. Thirty minutes of yoga nidra is said to equal 3 to 4 hours of sleep! I personally have experienced the benefits of yoga nidra and can attest to its fast rejuvenating power. Unfortunately, when tired many of us turn to unwinding methods that hardly rejuvenate us, if at all.
