After pondering how I could best support you, as we continue to navigate the covid-19 crisis, I have decided to offer a half-hour breathing & meditation practice, on Mondays and Fridays, 8:30am-9:00am EST. We will breathe, ground ourselves, and shift our internal, emotional landscape. The intention is to cultivate perspective, in order to respond calmly and creatively to external circumstances.
My Yoga Classes Are Moving Online Starting March 16, 2020
We are all inter-connected, for better or worse. Let's make it for the better right now, by coming together to continue practicing yoga, via digital technology. So, to accomdoate our increasingly homebound situation, my New York, in-studio yoga classes are going online this week. This is a first! We will be using the zoom platform. Spiritual Practices Gones Wrong + The Simplest Way to Find Your Flow in 2020
As we journey through life and seek to alleviate our suffering, we come upon teachers, healers, and their respective techniques. A bunch of them. It's easy to get stuck in confusion on our way to nirvana, forever searching for the best way to feel our best. But this perpetual search is often a way we avoid meeting life’s hurts and disappointments head-on. Along with it comes a dualistic mindset in which some states of being are perceived as better, others as subpar. The result is a compartmentalized experience of self and life. No flow there.
Natural Stress & Anxiety Relief Sunday Nov. 17 at the JCC
I'm back at the JCC- Manhattan on Sunday November 17 to discuss, and practice, ways to heal stress and anxiety naturally. We will look at how anxiety develops, at the level of the body, mind and even soul. There are often multiple causes, and understanding them is important if we are to heal, not just fix symptoms.
I'll share the ayurvedic perspective on anxiety, and how to slowly, but surely, create an internal environment that is super resilient to external triggers. The first hour or so of this workshop will be a discussion. The second half will be a practice, specifically designed to first meet the anxious/stressed energy, then gradually coax it, move it, bend and stretch it....until it's regulated, until you're back to feeling calm and grounded.
Please wear warm, comfortable clothing.

Whether we feel short on time or have plenty of it has nothing to do with our workload, deadlines or lack thereof. Our experience of time (as with everything else in life) is colored by the way we feel. It is 100% subjective, and fluctuates according to our fluctuating moods. In a nutshell, time is how you feel.

I know, I know...it's been a while!
Hi!
The main reason you have not heard from me for the past few months is because I'm pursuing a bachelor in psychology, and I'm enrolled in a 4-year somatic psychotherapy training. Yes, two major undertakings. And I'm still coaching, massaging, reiki-ing, yoga-ing. It's a lot, but it's keeping me on my toes. Most of all it feels right. The therapy training truly is the most organic next step in my journey as a holistic health practitioner. It had been calling me for a while, I just wasn't listening. I'll be writing more about this approach to psychotherapy in the near future.

But love without self-love ain’t love.
It’s called attachment, leads to codependency, love addiction and general unhappiness. Often when people fall in “love” (the falling is real, not the love) it’s because of how they feel in the presence of another: appreciated, soothed, special, beautiful, admired, seen. And we think that’s love. No, that’s using someone else to make yourself feel good. We all do it unconsciously of course, until the other, a perfectly imperfect human being, can no longer provide for all our (emotional) needs. And we get mad. Or…
